In this course, students will analyze the role of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in formulating and implementing competitive strategies that position the organization in dynamic markets. They will study tools for external and internal analysis, differentiation, segmentation, and positioning, as well as models of sustainable competitive advantage. The course will evaluate the CMO’s ability to lead initiatives in innovation, branding, and growth, while participants design strategies aligned with corporate objectives and environmental trends.
Candidates for completion of an undergraduate degree will complete an independent project demonstrating their conceptual, analytical, research, and practical skills achieved through the courses in the program. The project is a 3-credit, one-term requirement that is completed at the end of the program. It is a closely supervised experience resulting in a paper that demonstrates your ability to synthesize and utilize the skills and knowledge you have gained throughout the program.
